1) Machu Pichu, Peru
Known for its hike on the Inca trail, this South American destination is cheap and breathtaking. It’s free to trek the beautiful mountains, and you’ll be stunned at how friendly the local people are.
2) Varna, Bulgaria
Lying on the coast of the beautiful Black Sea, this is a hidden gem of Europe that’s also ridiculously affordable. Surrounded by greenery, beautiful mountains and magnificent people, there’s something here for everyone.

Morocco is full of magical adventure. Just make the trip between October and May when hotels are cheaper, and get ready to take in the beauty and the food.

4) Auckland, New Zealand
Your flight may be a bit more expensive for New Zealand (not to mention the city isn’t exactly cheap) but the beauty of New Zealand’s landscape is well worth it.

No need be scared of the drug cartel in Columbia anymore. Tourism has been increasing for a while now and it’s quite affordable to visit.

6) Angkor Vat, Cambodia
The largest religious monument in the world is only a slightly expensive flight away. The food and accommodation are extremely cheap, making this visit well worth the money.

7) Madrid, Spain
Relatively cheaper than the rest of the continent, this place has a lot to offer. Between October and May is the best time to visit.

This South East Asian jewel is beautiful and cheap. The street food is incredible, the nightlife is crazy and the bustling, busy city will keep you energized all day long.

Cheaper and more underrated than more popular places like Santorini, Crete is gorgeous and a country in and of itself.

Hands down one of the cheapest places to travel in the world, it also presents a gorgeous array of cultures and vistas. Sure, it may be a bit crowded, but well worth it just for the experience alone.

Thronged by younger people, this island destination should be visited during September-October and April-May. It’s a piece of paradise for sure. Once you visit Bali, you won’t want to leave.
