Savvanna Tuprina, Dolgan People, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). 18 years old. Anabar District, Saskyllah village. Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In the family there are six of us. Dad is a director of the collective farm, my mom is the activist of the village. Our favorite holiday is the annual Reindeer Herders Day, a favorite dish is stroganina (shaved frozen raw fish) and venison. Anna is my mother’s name and Savva is my dad’s name, so they decided to call me Savvanna )) I will do everything so that my language is preserved, so that my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren will speak it. My most cherished dream is to live in the tundra, surrounded by my relatives and friends and there are my deer, which my children and grandchildren graze! My mom is a seamstress by trade, very creative, in my childhood I participated in various beauty and talent contests, my mother always came up with very interesting costumes. The most important thing is respect for adults. My dad always says: “Never give up. If you started something, then do it to the end. Be truthful to yourself.” He says that without education in the 21st century there is nothing to do for any person. My mother taught me: “Do good and it will always come back to you, and always do what you like and believe in.” This year I enrolled to Krasnoyarsk, Siberian Federal University of Oil and Gas, Applied Geology Faculty. I will definitely return to my small native land after graduation!
