How To Trust In Your Life’s Unfolding Journey
Are you a worrier or a warrior?
While I know it may sound cliché, allow me to give you an insight into the question.
Dan Millman wrote a part-fictional, part-autobiographical book based on his early life called Way of the Peaceful Warrior.
To quote Wikipedia, “The story tells of a chance meeting with a service station attendant who becomes a spiritual teacher to the young gymnast, Dan Millman. The attendant, whom Millman names Socrates, becomes a kind of father figure and teaches Millman how to become a “peaceful warrior.”
Returning to my question.
My definition of a warrior is not defined by one who engages in war. Dan Millman refers to himself as a peaceful warrior, because his life’s outlook is transformed when he co-operates with the forces of life, rather than oppose them.
The story highlights the importance of allowing life to unfold through you. The understanding of becoming a peaceful warrior, underscores the willingness to move through life with ease.
The greatest war undertaken is within yourself, since you create mental anguish when life does not go according to plan. Consider there may be a greater plan for you beyond what you believe is conceivable.
Trust The Process
“As your faith is strengthened, you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit.” — Emmanuel Teney
To realise this plan, develop trust in the process of life. The following formula serves as a guide to allow trust to work in your life.
Trust = Surrender + Faith.
Surrender does not imply apathy or inaction as many believe. Surrender is a mental and emotional state of letting go of preconceived ideas, thoughts or beliefs how life should unfold.
When you surrender, you allow life to reveal itself through you.
Faith is the kindle on the fire which gives rise to trust.
Faith is a slow burning flame that requires time and patience. You must stoke the fire of faith to yield positive outcomes in your life.
When you allow faith to serve you, you collaborate with the expansive energy of life permeating throughout your being.
In his book The Holographic Universe, author Michael Talbot suggests there are multi universes in existence, sometimes called parallel universes. The term multiverse symbolises everything that can exist, does within the space-time continuum.
According to metaphysics, everything you desire is out there in formless matter. Your financial, physical and relationship desires exist within a higher dimension. To bring them to life means aligning with the frequency of the formless energy.
In simple terms, your desires exists beyond the physical universe. Therefore, if it exists, something must be disallowing it entering your life?
I contend, your thoughts, beliefs and emotional frequency limits the energy becoming a match with your desires. It is considered constructing an invisible wall between yourself and your desires.
Allow Life To Develop Through You
“None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust. Because we have Faith.” — Paulo Coelho
By allowing life to permeate through you, you consent to everything that transpires, even if you are unaware of the complete picture. You take the good with the bad and trust it serves your personal evolution.
You cannot make a mistake when you choose consciously. The process of surrendering to universal wisdom invites a higher intelligence without your mind opposing it.
Life has its own process that may not fit in with your plans. Your mind is not meant to figure it out since it is the realm of the higher mind.
Your mind is a storehouse of information, formed of memories to interpret your present day experiences.
Trust that life is an unfolding journey. For many, this means intrepidation. It is human nature to want security and comfort, knowing you will not be thrown a curve ball when you least expect it.
Yet, life is impermanent if it is to create itself anew. Everything is subject to an expiration date and the cycles of life indicate this changing force.
To trust the forces of life, start by venturing out of your comfort zone on occasions.
Take baby steps and allow yourself to be guided by your inner wisdom. Access your inner guidance by letting your intuition serve as a GPS with your deeper self.
How will you know you are acting on intuition?
Intuition feels right, like coming home to the familiar.
Like most things which requires practice, the more you use it the more acquainted you become harnessing your intuition.
Afterall, intuition is really the spiritual language of your soul guiding you.
