There is a book I received as gift in one of my usual synchronicities that I recommend vividly to read ”A return to love-reflections on the principles of a course in miracles” by Marianne Williamson.
During the week of few months ago I couldn’t stop thinking of a friend I decided to stop seeing at finally able to control those emotions a night before go to sleep I found on internet the name of Marianne Williamson,I remember considering the idea to read something of this writer,I fall asleep only to wake up with a message from the person I tried to avoid and couldn’t stop thinking all week,I felt like she might have sensed my emotions or maybe I sensed hers from that invisible thread that connect all of us,already one time I resisted at the temptation to get back in touch but this time I couldn’t,after read what she wrote I realized that something way bigger then me was playing something with our lives,at least is how I perceived it,the message said she missed me a lot and the reason why she got in touch again was because she wanted to follow her heart without worry too much about the consequence something she learned after reading Marianne Williamson book ” A return to love” ,probably even if I recognized the synchronicity I would resist the temptation to reply but that month I experienced synchronicities one after an other, never been so many in such a short period it was a strong signal for me I should meet her again and know more about the book , I have to say that yes the book was meant for me to read it,my friend bought it online on amazon in the second hand section, inside the book a dedication to someone called Ali,my name is Alex ,for his/her birthday.
She wanted give it to me ,after you read it will be impossible not to be touched in your heart and soul,I guess I’m emotionally ready to approach life in the way Marianne Williamson explained if I would read this book 10 years ago probably I wouldn’t take it too seriously but now I’m ready within, everything she talk about is so meaningful and I agree completely but there is a chapter I wanted to follow in my everyday life that I always found hard,to feel love even when someone is rude, mean, dishonest and hurt our feelings, she said something amazing, they are human beings with emotions ,we see only the surface but not their past or inner dialogue,we don’t know how much the struggle in life, how much maybe they want to be accepted or how much they suffered in their childhood, when challenged we need to be strong enough to still send love to them, this chapter made me think so much, life is so short I don’t want spent it hating people so I’m using this trick inspired by the book, when someone treat me unfairly and my first reaction is anger I image those people as when they were kids, smiling, laughing, playing, joyful, they aren’t bad people,no one is but society, surroundings, family, events changed us overtime, within we all looking for the same thing,LOVE.
That help me a lot to divert my anger and bad feelings toward them to transmute it into love .
The book in its entirety is fascinating, soul changing and an example of what we should do in a daily basis, not trying to gain more material items but gain more peace within, spirituality, learning to love ourself and others.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love
That’s what people says on internet :
”Williamson shares her reflections on A Course in Miracles and her insights on the application of love in the search for inner peace.
Williamson reveals how we each can become a miracle worker by accepting God and by the expression of love in our daily lives. Whether psychic pain is in the area of relationships, career, or health, she shows us how love is a potent force, the key to inner peace, and how by practicing love we can make our own lives more fulfilling while creating a more peaceful and loving world for our children”
”A classic text of the spiritual renaissance about our need to replace fear with love
During the 1960s, Helen Schucman, a professor of psychology at Columbia University, was told by an inner voice to transcribe a three-volume work called A Course in Miracles. Before long study groups had formed all over the country to interpret this program of spiritual psychotherapy. This book is one teacher’s interpretation of this document.
Marianne Williamson proclaims how the principles of Hell, God, You, Surrender, and Miracles form a spiritual practice with ramifications that give meaning to relationships, work, body, and Heaven. At the outset, she notes: “Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here. The spiritual journey is the relinquishment, or unlearning, of fear and the acceptance of love back in our hearts.” We can become miracle workers, according to Williamson, once we let our lives be unspooled in love. Living the good life has nothing to do with accumulating possessions or status or power. It has to do with serving others, expanding the fund of love in the universe.
Williamson believes that the positive messages of A Course in Miracles have special appeal to the Baby Boom generation which has expended far too much energy on fear, addiction, selfishness, and greed. A Return To Love, which was an almost instant bestseller when it was originally released and rose to the #1 slot on the New York Times list, is a landmark book in the spiritual renaissance of the 1990s and new millennium. It clearly has struck a chord by pointing the way to a spiritual path for a wayward prodigal generation ” by Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat
”Marianne Williamson displays in her writing the power and with that she displays as a speaker. Her honest accounts of different periods in her life will motivate readers for a long time to come. A Return To Love makes for very powerful reading” by Louise L. Hay ,author of You Can Heal Your Life and The Power Within You.
”Marianne Williamson’s book is a classic. She reveals, with elegant simplicity, that love is not a mere sentiment or emotion, but the ultimate truth at the heart of creation” by Deepak Chopra, author of The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success and Creating Health
