This is exactly why the progressives have spent the last century creating and achieving control of the public education system. By controlling the history curriculum they control the point of veiw. History keeps repeating itself. The causes and solutions to our problems have already been discovered in what is referred to as the “Enlightenment”. Unfortunately the majority of our citizenry does not know what that is because they were not fortunate enough to stumble across this body of knowledge and the academic elites have done everything in their power to insure our ignorance or undermine the basic truths of the philosophies encompassed by the enlightenment
