Bring your heart into the present

By Alessandro Carosi

In Chinese calligraphy, the word mindfulness is expressed by two characters: The top character (a shelter) represents the word now; below that is the character for heart. The literal translation means bringing the heart into the present or “present heart”.

  1. A very good reminder of all these Chinese letters have derived from literal meaning of words put together. And sometimes when I am used to know the letter as a whole, I forget to look different elements which a letter is consist of. Sometimes it shows how much we all need to refresh our old ways. Agree, living in a present moment is a best way to be mindful. Thanks for sharing.
